Mojave 10.14.2 update breaks Network Home icon for system on AD

Hello,

I have an iMac which I have added to an Active Directory and on the Dock I have a globe icon that takes me to my network home or my personal space on the server. When I click on the globe for the first time I'm prompted to login, after that I don't need to do so again, even after turning off the iMac. Since I preformed the Mojave 10.14.2 update when I click on the globe icon I am prompted each time to connect. I mange a student lab and I have Macs with and without the newest update. The Macs with the update prompt each time also and the ones that don't automatically connect. I also have an iMac with High Sierra and after preforming the Security Update 2018-003 I have the same issue. My iMac is running Mojave and the student lab High Sierra.

I have removed my iMac from the domain and made sure the computer was no longer listed in the AD and then re-joined the iMac to the domain but the problem persists. I also have a laptop with Mojave 10.14.1 and I don't have this problem. Any ideas?

Hi owain73,

The update Apple put out on Tuesday (10.14.3) fixes this problem.

macOS Mojave 10.14.3 Update

This update improves the security, stability, and compatibility of your Mac and includes the following enterprise content: When making a file-sharing connection that uses a valid Kerberos TGT to authenticate, users are no longer prompted to enter credentials.

I have installed it and confirm that it fixes the problem.

I have exactly the same issue. I am really surprised that it has not been resolved. It's almost as if Apple do not want us to connect to MS shares any more. If only my old copies of AdminMac still worked.

On previous versions of OSX/Macos, the connection to the Windows home directory is automatically done when the user clicks on the icon in the doc (titled "%username%'s Network Home"). Now however when this icon is clicked, the credentials box pops up and after the correct credentials are entered the share does not map. Instead there are unhidden (no $ sign) shares on the Windows server available to connect to.

If I open Finder - Go - Computer there home share is available to access (so it is mapping) but I do not seem to be able to remove the erroneous dock icon.

I have tried changing the share location to another server, making it unhidden (removed the $) checked the type case in AD, removed from the domain and re-joined, toggled the AD options but nothing works.
