How do I get return & tab keys to work on text within cells in Numbers?

Currently, when I hit these, wanting to return or tab within text in cells, the curser jumps to a new adjacent cell in the same row or column.

You can use option-return or control-return to start a new line of text within a cell.

Not sure about tab. I can't think of a case where one would want a tab within a cell, as cells generally are not meant to contain long text. They're generally for numerical data, labels, and short notes. For long text with tabs you might consider using a text box instead.
