Can’t read a book on my iPhone.

Has the book finished downloading since you made this post? If not, there are a few steps that might help.

To clarify, is this a book that you purchased from Apple Books? Or was it from elsewhere?

If you haven't already, a restart of your device is a great place to begin with troubleshooting: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If the issue persists after restarting, you might also try downloading the book from a different connection type. If you're currently using Wi-Fi, try switching it off and see if you can download it from a cellular connection. If you're on cellular data already, see if connecting to Wi-Fi makes a difference.

It sounds like you've done some great troubleshooting so far. As a test, try tapping Settings > [your name] > iCloud. There, toggle iCloud Drive off, leave it off briefly, and then turn it back. Then, see if you're able to download this file.
