what is the reversedtemplate process? and why it consumes more than 2G of memory slowing down my MacBook Pro?

I do not know what that process is, but I do know that if you have the original glacially slow 5400 rpm drive and the meager 4 GB RAM and are running Mojave or similar newer OS version, it will not be a pleasant computing experience. I have the same model, but mine was upgraded immediately with an SSD and more RAM and it is very snappy and responsive. An etrecheck report may reveal other things that can cause problems.

It consumes 0 CPU and uses 7 MB of memory.

What is it:

The reversetemplated daemon receives content from suggestd and analyzes it in order to help detect events Found in Apps.


And it is called

reversetemplated
NOT reversedtemplate


Double click on it (In Activity Monitor) to see what files are open with it.

Yours is acting up probably due some app you installed.

So quit it or delete its plist file and let it recover.
