Finder suddenly doesn't show thumbnails for Alias

Since Upgrading to 10.14.2, Finder doesn't show thumbnails for aliases of images, instead displays a generic JPEG icon,

MacBook Pro Retina (2015 and later)

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. I understand you have concerns about the thumbnails for images in Finder. I'd like to help. What I'd suggest first is to navigate to the Show View Options of Finder (right-click inside a Finder Window), make sure Show Icon Preview is checked. If not, check it and hit Use as Defaults.
