Alarm Clock Hack

Someone sent me a text message with a random message. The next morning, all of my alarms had been deleted off of my phone and an alarm went off with the title being the text message that I had received the night before.

It is not possible for it to be done by anyone in my house. Is it possible that someone may have access to my phone through this text message?

My husband did a quick search online and found two other cases of this exact issue and everyone responded saying that it is not possible to do it remotely, but I beg to differ.

Any suggestions about how this may have occurred?
