Shouldn't you be directing this question directly to either HP Support or by reviewing the printer's user guide?

... and the following was found starting on page 25 of that guide:

Print from apps on mobile devices

You can print documents and photos directly from many of the apps on your mobile devices, on iOS, Android,

Windows Mobile, Chromebook and Amazon Kindle.

To print from apps on your mobile devices

1. Make sure your printer is connected to the same network as your mobile device.

2. Enable printing on your mobile device:

iOS: Use the Print option from the Share menu. No setup is required since iOS AirPrint is

preinstalled.

NOTE: Devices running iOS 4.2 or later have AirPrint preinstalled.

The HP Officejet 5255 is not listed as an AirPrint compatible printer in Apple's support document about AirPrint.

If you need AirPrint service, HP Support might have a utility that you could install to allow printing. Check with HP Support on that topic.

Otherwise, an App like Printopia might allow you to print to the HP. There is a free trial, so you will know whether things will work before you buy.
