Using iPhone in India

Make sure you are choosing an Unlocked/Sim-Free phone, not one associated with a carrier.

Also note that warranty service for a phone purchased in the US is restricted to the US.

The US Apple site will not ship to an address outside of the US.

Probably. Not that you will not get warranty coverage in India and probably won't even be able to get paid hardware service for it in India. You will have to bring it back to the US to have it serviced if needed.
