Although 2 years old, this is the first time I have tried to use it, so it may have never worked. When I looked it up on line, it seems like VDC Assistant is not installed. (I recently updated to Mojave - not sure if that is relevant.) Thanks for your advice - Garth

NB: Two years old and no Apple Genius locally. Because of age I cannot get help on their service line either.
I'm sorry for your disability so I feel I am unable to help you fix your problem. Perhaps you have a local friend who can take you computer for repair.
