Scam Call from My OWN Number on my iPhone?

I keep getting a scam call, within the last hour about some Apple Credit Card being cancelled.

It’s a pain because I cannot blockout the Apple number it’s dialing from (My device).

And it happens to be regarding Apple.

Thanks Apple! How do I block this out?!

No, the only way you can block phone calls is via your Contacts but as you've already noted this is not viable given number spoofing. 3rd party software cannot access phone APIs in iOS. Wouldn't make a difference anyway this is a telephone system problem. I already reported the post where you mention the bug. The Apple feedback page really doesn't address Apple Support Communities.

IMPORTANT: I see this post on the mobile site of discussions (Using my iPhone), and it shows "Me Too" as "2"...

but...

Online (Using my Mac) it shows "I have the question too" as "0".

    • Are these quantities not-synchronized?
    • Or are they simply just different irrelevant to one-another?

Please synchronize, if applicable. Thank you.

Thank you very much deggie for looking into this.

Being an Apple product (iPhone 6), that's is why I brought this up in my original post, because, perhaps there is a Contact Blocker out there that would assist with this. For Note: I use Adblock Plus on this iPhone.

FYI: I have, indeed, contacted my government representative on occurrences like this before.

Can I report this bug to Apple, using the feedback page?

This is a new version of this software that went live just a few weeks ago and they are still searching out bugs. I will alert the hosts regarding your post.

As to the problem you are having it has nothing to do with Apple and everything to do with cell providers. All of these scammers are able to spoof numbers using a variety of systems and software. A friend got a call from me regarding a back brace that Medicare can pay for. I've received one from my sister about my car warranty.

Contact your government representative if you would like something done about this.

BTW, I am on my Mac and see the number 2 next to I have the question too.
