Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Move to next header

I write long documents and I am a disciplined user of styles, including especially headers.

It would be REALLY helpful if there were a way to "move to next header" or "move to previous header."

Is there such a thing? If not, is there a hack that would make it possible?

Hi Lawrence,

If you want to find the next or previous Section Break (i.e. the bottom of the last page of a Section),

  • Menu > View > Show Invisibles;
  • double click on a Section Break to select it
  • Menu > Edit > Find > Use Selection for Find (command E). That's just how Pages works for Invisibles.

Use the right or left arrows in Find & Replace to move the focus to another Section Break. Here we are on Page 3

Regards,

Ian.
