Would you recommend iphone xr or iphone xs?

I am upgrading from iPhone 6 and I am considering either the iPhone xr or iPhone XS. I would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks.

Depends on whether 1) 2 cameras are what you want, the Xr has one great camera and all the gizmos and tricks to make it awesome; and 2) are you looking for the ultimate video and second best “ain’t a thing”, then the 6.8” screen will practically make you drool while the Xr is color accurate and is an excellent picture to behold; and then 3) are you an absolute Apple fanatic and have got to own the best of the best or are you super smart about your purchase, Apple quality is a top priority but price is a factor? Then the Xr is your choice, easily. You get the A12 chipset, the same single camera experience, it runs iOS 12 and all that comes with that, and it looks remarkably similar but with a metal frame instead of the gorgeous all glass offering of the XS Max. So, which is it? Both are absolutely exceptional engineering marvels, yet one will set you back over 1300.00 with tax and the other stays under a grand and is better than 97% of all other offerings. Also, if you are one to trade-in phones for the latest year after year or will you keep this purchase for 2-3 years. That can play into your decision also. For the record, I returned my Xr after 21 days, super impressed, but I just had to have another XS Max. You can’t go wrong either way, but after owning that first XS Max, even though the Liquid Retina display of the Xr is very, very nice-I had to have the Max.

I have owned the X, XS Max (2) and the Xr. Side by side, there is no doubt and no question at all for me. XS Max is the phone if video quality is important. The pixel count is the same (458ppi I believe) for the Xs and Xs Max, but the screen size (6.8” vs. 6.1”) with the same ppi is hands down an unbelievable display.

I bought an Xr and compared it side by side to the Xs M, and again there is no doubt. The 4s had a better ppi count than the Liquid Retina display in the Xr. The benefit to the Xr is the same processor and a bigger battery, one camera, at a lower cost. I saw t-mobile had a special for $40 for both the phone and service (unlimited) but not truly unlimited but at an amazing price. I will say this for the Xr, the colors were spot on and the resolution was impressive, but if you really study the two displays side by side, you can see the difference. If you don’t compare them side by side, it is possible you won’t know what you are missing. But if you want or need to stream video and the highest quality truly without limits (75gb data, 20gb hotspot) then Verizon is the only way to go.
