How to get curly braces / brackets { } to expand or encompass more than 1 line of text

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someoen can tell me how to get these { } brackets to wrap around more than 1 line of text.

E.g.

{ discuss theological principles (ch. 6)

theology of sexuality, love and ethics ( ch. 9) } 250 words

I want the brackets to indicate that both discussions, together, must come to 250 words.

Ps.

I'm using Pages in iCloud.com via window pc with a Apple usb keyboard and also an iPhone SE
