Compressor to WMV

There is an old post about converting Quicktime Files to WMV, but the process doesn't work the same way anymore (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5860434 .) The inspector windows are missing crucial options now. I'm hoping that there's still a way to do this.

That thread from 2014 was suggesting you use Flip4Mac which is no longer sold and only supported up to OS X 10.11.14. Now Telestream wants you to purchase Switch, which is much more expensive for the version that exports WMV files. There are other, cheaper encoder apps out there that do this, I don't know any names off the top of my head.
