bluetooth not connecting
After replacing batteries for my mouse, Bluetooth would not connect to the mouse. The light on the back side of the mouse did not come on.

Is that light you're talking about the red tracking one, or a power led?
Have you repaired it?

And there's no switch on it?
Did you replace the batteries because it had no power?
Could it be dead?
BDAqua, here's the outcome for you. A friend of mine discovered that new Energizer batteries worked in my keyboard when new Duracell batteries wouldn't! He even tested the Duracells—they were fine. As for the mouse, the problem was with the switch. He recommended I leave the switch on when changing batteries. Maybe this explains why your Apple mice have died?
Ah, thanks for the report, very interesting! :)
On the batteries I don't have a calipers but I suspect some AA batteries I've gotten lately are a tat shorter than they should be & only work if I wedge some aluminum foil on the - end so they make better contact.
I gave up on anything but USB Mice quite awhile ago & the Apple USB Mice were also the worst/shortest lived I ever tried.
Thanks for responding, BD. It's the power led. I know the batteries are good. I know I put them in right.
The switch is on. It's on when you see green, right? I replaced the batteries because my Mac computer told me they were very low. Do mouses die? Have good day!
Mouses do die, especially Apple Mice for me.
Really? So in that case, buying a new mouse is in order?
That is my guess, yes, haven't found much else it could be.
God 's blessings to you!
If I've helped I am blessed, please let us know the outcome.
Thanks for the aluminum idea. My friend will be interested to hear that also.
Great, I'd be interested to hear if this is a common thing.
God's best to you!
