Reset Apple Watch

My watch isn’t connected to my iPhone and I forgot my passcode. How do I reset the watch to factory settings so that I can pair with my phone again?

Thanks for trying. Your suggestion only works if you know your passcode or if you are still communicating with the paired iPhone. Neither of whichever are the case for me.

The support document linked by seanfromllanelli was designed for lost passcodes, and has two alternative procedures. Try the second one using only the watch, but note it only works when charger power is connected.

Apple Watch won’t turn on. Tried everything apple recommended and still blank screen.

Most times the watch has a black screen it is a discharged battery. Please see If your Apple Watch won't charge or it won't turn on - Apple Support. If you have tried all the options including checking the charger has power and will charge other devices, Contact Apple Support and arrange to get your watch examined by Apple Service.
