Cannot exit "Settings" in Amazon Prime Video

If I select Settings in the Prime Video App, there appears t be no way to exit them.

"Menu" takes you back to the Apple TV Home screen.

Progress saving in paused programs. Is there a way to get Apple TV to save my progress in a movie or show that I’m watching on my Roku tv? If I pause a program or leave Apple TV there’s no “bookmark” or prompt to pick up where I left off. The closest thing is suggesting the next episode of a tv show in “up next” tab but even that isn’t perfect because it starts the next episode whether I finished the previous one or not, again without a place holder for what I’m watching. I’ve read a handful of other users experiencing this same issue dates ranging from 2019-2021. How is this even possible? Any way to fix this? I don’t want to have to remember where I am in a program if I have to stop. What’s the point in paying for a service that doesn’t offer a solution for this very simple problem?

Paused location not on home page I was watching network TV with YouTube TV on Apple TV. (CBS Sunday Morning). I paused it for 30 minutes or so and there was a check connection on TV. I turned back on and am unable to find the program for current day on home page nor could I find a paused location icon. The only way I was able to watch was later in the day when entire episode was released. I have had this issue before even without the connection error. I find it difficult to go back to a paused program even without the disconnect.

It doesn’t behave like that for me. Menu takes me up one level, to the Prime Video home screen.

Try force-quitting the app (TV/Home button, then navigate to the app, then swipe up to quit). followed by a restart of the device.

Agree that a restart gets me out of the issue.

Will monitor and see if this repeats, as this behaviour was only with that one App,
