I clearly know my Apple ID, I used it to log in here.
But when ogging into my TV, it has no clue who I am and sends a verification code to my phone.
Thats fine... only there is nowhere on the TV to enter said code and it boots me back to the main screen... re enter email... then password... I get a new verification code... then boots me back out.

Again, you need to enter the password and code together. If you just enter the password and then hit submit that will not work, produce an error and require you start over.
The best way to do it is enter the password, then request the code, and then enter that code next to the password (ie if your password is apple and the code is 1234 then it will be apple1234)

When using 2 factor authentication on an older device you need to enter the password and code together, and there is a time limit. To make the best use of that time request the code after the password has been entered
That’s wonderful if there was a place to input the code. There is no place enter anything. The second I enter my password it comes up with an error message and boots me out.
