Whose mother do I have to ask for permission?

I’m trying to move photos off my phone to icloud using the Files “app”. I can create a new folder called “nieces and nephews” but when I try to move photos using “photos” it tells me I don’t have permission. I am attempting to accomplish this on one iPhone and one Apple ID. The forums suggest changing permissions from an Mac. I don’t have a Mac.

A few questions so we are on the same page:

Where are you creating this folder, and with what? (for example, "at the root of iCloud Drive, using the Files app")

How you are trying to 'move photos using "photos"'? (for example, "using 'Save In Files' in the share menu in Photos app")

Exactly what error message are you receiving?

I was able to copy a photo to iCloud Drive using the example answers above. I don't know how on could ask for a "move" function instead.
