Is there a way to change .HEIC photos (previously taken) to .JPG?

I didnt realize that my photos were automatically changed to .HEIC with my new phone. I have now changed the setting to .JPG for future photos. However is there a way to change previously taken photos from .HEIC to .JPG? I upload my photos to shutterfly for photo books and they dont support .HEIC

I have discovered that if you try to upload .HEIC photos from your computer, it doesn't work. However, if you upload pictures in this format directly from the phone through the Shutterfly app, it will automatically convert them.
