Can you use other types of Mp3's on iTunes?

We used to have an iPod, but it was stolen. At the time, we'd rather buy a cheap Mp3 until we can get a nicer iPod, but we don't know if we can use our iTunes library or not. Can we use it for teh different Mp3?

It depends what is in your iTunes library.

If you have songs in MP3 format, they can be used in an iPod or any other player.

Songs in AAC format can be used in some MP3 players, or they can be converted (using iTunes) to MP3 format.

The only thing that will be a problem will be if you have purchased any DRM "protected" songs from the iTunes Store. (These were sold prior to 2009.) Unless you have upgraded them to iTunes Plus, they can only be used in Apple devices.
