Does the new Mac mini have a user upgradeable CPU?

Mac OS X (10.6.4)

The processor of the new mini is most definitely soldered in. Thus, it is not upgradeable.

Minor point of accuracy: Mac Pro and current iMac models have socketed processors, and thus can be upgraded. This procedure is not endorsed by Apple, and would thus void your warranty (if your example still carries a warranty). On the Mac Pro it is a fairly straightforward process, but certainly not so easy on the iMac.

Thank you for the info.

I'm a PC user/builder that is considering purchasing a Mac mini for the living room television. Since I'm into doing my own upgrading I wanted to make sure dropping the extra cash on a factory upgraded CPU was warranted. I have no problems taking a machine apart and replacing components... That is as long as solder isn't involved! 🙂
