I received an email saying apple id is disabled. Is this a scam
recieved an email say my account was disabled. The email looks fake to me and was wanting to know if it was real or not.

Yes. If an Apple ID actually gets disabled, its owner will be told when they try logging into it instead of through email.
Forward it to reportphishing@apple.com as an attachment and then delete it.
