USB Headphones Problem

I'm running Sierra on a 2012 MacBook Pro. Recently when I've plugged in my Logitech USB headphones, I find the stereo effect on music sounds weird and voices are rendered almost inaudible. If I shift the balance off-centre, things improve drastically, but it's still not perfect.

I've reset the PRAM and SMC, but no difference.

I've seen variations of this problem on here, but not the exact same one. Anyone able to help?

MacBook Pro 14 inch - problem with driving high impedance headphones Hi, My problem is a quite strange one... I have a pair of 80 ohm dt770pros which I use basically all day with my MacBook Pro. In order to put a systemwide equalizer on the Mac, ,I use BlackHole paired with Hosting AU, where I use the AUNbandEQ. Here is where my problems begin. If as audio output I use 'external headphones' the sound of the headphones is perfectly fine, since the Mac recognises the impedance of and delivers enough power to drive them, however when I pass the audio through BlackHole, the headphones don't get enough power and they sound empty and not loud enough. How can this be solved?

high headphone noise floor in Windows 10 bootcamp Just installed latest Windows 10 (20H2) on my brand new Macbook Pro 16" - everything works great except I'm having a very specific issue with the headphone output. When I'm using sensitive, low-impedance headphones, there is a very loud noise floor when playing any audio. This does not happen in macOS so I'm pretty sure it's a driver issue - has anyone else experienced this and is there any way to fix it? Things I have tried: uninstalling "Apple Audio Device" from device manager, after reinstall problem persists checking sound output format in control panel, box shows DVD quality 48000kHz and is greyed out (I can't change it to CD quality) testing with different headphones (issue much less noticeable with full-size headphones)
