Error Message "All of your songs are unchecked"

Got this message for the first time this morning "All of your songs are unchecked". Tried changing ALL in the check column of songs view, will not do it. Testing playback in Artists/All Artists view (My normal for now) I am no longer allowed to play albums (No play arrow appears in the center of the graphic) and songs will only play that song and stop instead of moving to the next song.

If you right-click the album art one of the pop-up menu options is Check Selection. Use that to fix the issue.


Curiously, if the selection is checked, the option changes not to uncheck selection, but untick selection. This seems a bit messy to me as I've always assumed that "check" is the American expression, while here in the UK, we "tick" boxes rather than check them.


If you see both Check Selection and Untick Selection, it means that there is a mixture of ticked and unticked songs in that selection. The option you choose will set all the songs in that selection to your choice.


If every song in your library has somehow become unticked, switch to the Songs View and use CTRL/left-click in one of the tick boxes to put all the ticks back on in one step.

Thank you. I found another work-around after I experimented with highlighting all songs then left-clicking to get them checked (ticked).

I know your Ctrl/Left Click is more elegant than my solution, but I dare not try now that I have things fixed! I am saving it for next time. I don't recall seeing the "tick" option when I executed, that may be a special menu setup on your side of the pond. Still two great friends separated by a common language...….. ;-)


Now if I can only get a couple of playlists going before this thing goes boom again!
