Predictive Text Emojis

What happened to the predictive text emojis? What I’m referring to is, on my iPhone X (I recently upgraded to the iPhone XS Max) I used to be able to type and if I typed the word “heart”, on the right side of the predictive text, three heart emojis would show up. If I typed “wave”, the waving emoji would show up. Now, it doesn’t. I have the emoji keyboard turned on and the predictive text turned on. I even shut it off, turned it back on and restarted my phone and it still doesn’t work.

Am I doing something wrong?

Send a text message with 10-15 random emojis and then predictive emojis will work again.

Hi, first try restarting the phone (this won’t erase any data) by quickly pressing the volume up button, then quickly press the down button, and then hold down the side button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple logo.

If that doesn’t fix the issue, just reply to this and I’ll help you

Even doing that doesn’t work. I quickly push the volume up, quickly push the volume down and then quickly hold down on the side button. All that does is adjust my volume up and down and then changes the screen to power off or cancel.

Disregard. It finally worked (restarting my phone). However, the predictive emojis still doesn’t work. It works when typing on here, when typing on Snapchat, typing on Facebook, but it doesn’t work while typing a text message. Whether I’d be an SMS text or iMessage. Not sure what the deal is.
