Family Plan for Apple Music

I just upgraded to your family plan on Apple Music, and was wondering how I can get refunded for my boyfriends subscription that just got charged to our bank account. Also I’m trying to prevent from my subscription getting charged as well since I just upgraded to the family plan. Thank you.

You can have one type of Apple Music subscription on your Apple ID, as billed through iTunes. If you changed the type to Family subscription, then the Individual subscription no longer applies.


To have a functional Apple Music Family subscription, you need to do two things:


Only the family organizer needs to subscribe; the other members get the service by accepting the invitation. Apple Music Individual subscriptions of the other members will expire automatically, once they become member of the family group with Apple Music Family subscription.
