My iMessage notifications will not show notifications on my partners phone

Whenever I send an iMessage to my partner, the notifications for it never show, however if I switch to text messages it works fine. All notification settings on my partners device are on and working for everyone else except for when I send them a message. Also, their read receipts are not showing up on my phone. The settings for read receipts to be visible to me from their phone are all on and working for everyone else. I truly think my phone is fried. Can someone please help me??

If done the following:

Turned my iMessage off and on multiple times. My partner receives my text messages, but not iMessages. However they receive everyone else's.
Turned off/on and reset my phone multiple times. Does not make a difference.
All of my contacts receive my iMessages, just this one that doesn't.
Reset my network settings

Note: I have an iPhone 8 Plus and my partner has an iPhone XS Max

Thanks for posting this to Apple Support Communities today. I am understanding that your partner is not receiving any of your iMessages but can receive SMS messages from you. I know how important it is to stay in touch by

iMessage.

Thanks for being so descriptive about the issue. Based on what you described, it appears the behavior could be linked to the settings on one or both devices.

Let's start by doing all the steps in the following support article:

If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue is persisting, are any other devices like a Mac or iPad at home that are signed in and receiving iMessages? See Learn more about Messages.

Also, has your partner checked to see if only your Apple ID email was blocked?

Have you tested the issue on both cellular data and Wi-Fi?
