Move an object in front of map

I have created a number of rectangular objects that I have placed on the map. All these objects thereafter moved to the back of the map. I have selected all these objects and at the top selected Object/Bring Forward and I also tried Bring to Front none had any effect, all the objects remains at the back of the map.

Please enlighten me what I need to do to bring the objects in front of the map!

There are two kinds of groups in Motion: 2D and 3D. 3D groups (and enclosed objects) will always maintain their Z position relationship between objects and moving items from behind to in front is as easy as changing its Z-position to greater than the object it needs to be in front of.

2D Groups on the other hand, are "layer order" meaning that whatever is higher in the layers list (inside the 2D Group) will be in front *no matter what* its Z position is.)

You can click on the layer icon in the group's label to toggle between 2D and 3D (or type Control-D to toggle; or select 3D Group from the Object Menu). [There is also a Type menu in the Group inspector.]
