Can you connect more than one bluetooth device to an iPhone Xs Max?

I was planning on connecting both my SteelSeries Nimbus bluetooth controller and my AirPods at the same time and was wondering if it was possible to even do so. Thank you.

Fortunately you can connect a keyboard and a pair of headphones to your iPhone at the same time, allowing you to use two Bluetooth devices at the same time. ... Both could be connected at the same time,

But the iPhone would only output Bluetooth audio to one pair of headphones at one time.

For that matter two Audio Bluetooth can never be connected to one device (Any Device) at the same time. One has to disconnect to connect the other.

It is possible to connect 2 bluetooth devices at the same time as long as they don't use the same Bluetooth profile..

The controller and the Airpods use different profiles so should be entirely possible.

With the inclusion of Bluetooth 5.0 hardware in the iPhone 8, X, Xs, Xs Max and Xr, it is also possible to connect two sets of Bluetooth headphones to one iPhone and get audio to both at the same time.
