My Apple WatchOS 5.1.3 will not update as it keeps saying I’m not comnected to the internet and I can’t erase or delete the update

I believe the iPhone has to be connected to WiFi, your Apple Watch on the charger, the Apple Watch and iPhone talking via Bluetooth, and the iPhone nearby for the duration of the update.
Initiat the update via the iPhone Watch app
Having the same problem. In your Watch app go to General > Usage >software update download at the top. You can at least delete the download from there and try again. It’s at least downloading at the moment. Mine keeps stopping at 432 mb.
I’ve tried all that. The iPhone watch app tries to install and verify and then stops by saying can’t update because I’m not connected to the internet which is incorrect because it is. Is this a software error?
My iPhone software is updated. I have the latest version on the watch 5.1.2 (16S46)
It depends on which version of the watch you have. In addition check to see if you have the latest software update for your iPhone. Go to your iPhone...Settings/General/Software Update.
