Apple Watch disabled at password screen

I have a Apple Watch 7000 Series and I've forgotten my password. I went through the steps in the article using my iPhone. After the unpairing my phone displayed a message that the unpairing was done but there might be a problem with it and to use my watch to complete the unpairing (or something like that). Now the phone shows the screen to pair your watch.

When I try to reset my watch by holding both buttons down, I don't get a power off button - it just shuts down and then the apple icon displays. Then after a while of that, the password screen displays!!!

Then, even if I don't do anything, after a little while it says "Wrong passcode" "try again in 60 min".

Any idea? Or is it a brick now, can't even use it as a watch. :-(

Apple doesn't use the term 7000 series to identify a watch. See: Identify your Apple Watch - Apple Support

According to the following, 7000 series is the aluminum alloy used in the Apple Watch Sport (I don't know if it is used in other models): https://www.macrumors.com/guide/apple-watch-buyers-guide-which-one-is-right-for- you/

From memory only, the 7000 marking appeared on the original first generation Apple Watch (before Series 1 came) but that doesn’t impact the buttons because the buttons and controls are from software, and the same software was in all versions up to and including v4.3.2.

If you got the Apple logo again it sounds like you were pressing both buttons again, or you have a hardware defect. As I posted above, follow the documented watch standalone erase procedure exactly for a second attempt to erase. Note you must have charger power connected for the erase option to appear.
