how do i get rid of the little red dot next to the settings icon?

I have checked in the settings and all my updates are up to date. There is nothing that the red dot with number 1 could be referring to as far as I can see. Now how do I get rid of it.
it usually need there is a notification for you inside the app or in this case settings it could be that there is an update to ios available for your phone
