Clean Install, Recovered to Mavericks, How to Re-install High Sierra?

Hi,

I have just sold my MacBook Pro 2013 model, which was running High Sierra. When I wiped the data and reinstalled the OS, there was an issue with APFS and I had to use recovery mode (eventually Internet Recovery Mode) to reinstall the OS. I am now left with a clean MacBook but it is running Mavericks.

I can't see how to install High Sierra back as when I go through the Apple Store, it asks me to purchase the OS again.

How can I re-install High Sierra and get this back to the out-of-the-box state it needs to be in, for me to give it to the buyer?

Thanks,

Yuki

You leave the operating system that the Mac originally shipped with (e.g. Mavericks) on it, ready for the new owner to boot and configure to their specific settings. They can upgrade to High Sierra on their own with their Apple ID.
