When I turn my phone sideways I used to be able to text and see the conversation. Now the entire screen is covered up by keyboard and a list of people i'm messaging. Is there a way to fix this? Or is this a bug that apple needs to look into? Screen Shot. You can see you can't read any of the conversation. It's pointless.

Are you trying to type some thing in the iMessage box you want to view the conversation.
Your cursor is in the iMessage box. Come out of it by tapping by scrolling up and down See the Two Pic below

How were you able to get rid of the side messages box that takes up a third of the screen? So the only way to read the messages is to go back and forth in and out of the keyboard? I don't see why this screen is bigger than my last phone and they've made the keyboard the entire screen on this phone? It's very unnecessary and makes it much more difficult.
Yeah was hoping this was just a fluke but now can tell it was just a bad design on apples part. Looks like they set it up for an ipad and decided to just stick it on the phone platform. Oh well thank you for the help
Sorry see what you mean. Just slide the box to the left. I check later on my 7 plus that does this. To 100%
I just slide the keyboard down. Grab at the end and slide down it goes to one line.
