Does a 44mm band fit a 40mm band

I accidentally bought a 44mm band and I wanted to know if it would fit a 40 mm series 4 Apple Watch or if I should exchange or return the band?

Apple Watch Order Re Apple Watch Yesterday, I ordered a new Apple Watch 6 series and an extra band. They both arrived today and I see now that the watch is 44mm (as ordered) and I did not notice yesterday the extra band was 40mm. Questions: 1)Will the 40mm band work on the 44mm case? 2)If not, how do I send the 40mm band back to get it replaced with a 44mm band? Thanks, Bruce

Apple Watch band Hello. I have a series 3 Apple Watch that uses a 38 mm band. I ordered a new band from Best Buy but it appears that they are sending me a 40mm. Will this fit?
