How to permanently activate "Calculate all sizes"
In the view options you can activate the calculate all sizes box.
How can you have that option permanent, instead of having to activate it every time a new window is open!??!

I found it. It's only available for List View. After clicking "Use as Default" is seems to show the Size for new folder once the folder contains files.

That's not the case when I tried. You could try deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist then restarting. You could also test while logged into a different user account.
See if this article helps. From what I remember, it should: https://howchoo.com/g/mzuxyjqyzmy/how-to-set-the-view-options-for-all-finder-windows-in-os-x
Nope, still not working. Any time I open a new window or even go into a sub directory, the "calculate all sizes" is not active. On all my macbooks (4 pro 2018, 2015, 2013, 2012 with Mojave and High Sierra).
The "calculate all sizes" option remains active just for the directory where I activate it.
After clicking use for default, nothing really happens, as when you open even just a sub directory, the view will be again without "calculate all sizes" on :/
Where are you seeing the option in the Finder "View Options"?
