The power off slider is not supposed to appear in a forced reset. Holding both buttons together should trigger a hard reboot and the Apple logo should appear after about 10 seconds pressing. If you did as julieda suggested and you DIDN’T get the Apple logo you might have a hardware problem with one of the buttons not working. Contact Apple Support and arrange to get your watch checked by Apple service.
