Which Air Quality Index in Weather app?

It would be great to get an official reply from Apple since this is an important matter.

Which Air Quality Index is used in the Weather app?

Different countries have different indices and the app doesn't tell the user which index it uses.

Ideally tapping the AQI or the quality rating would tell the user more about this metric.

Not all cities have this data, so if you can't find it, select a different city, like e.g. Los Angeles.
