Apple Music not playing

Why is some of my music showing up gray instead of black? Then when you click on it you get a message saying item not available and this item cannot be played?

Thanks for using Apple Communities. I see that you're having some difficulty playing some songs because you're seeing a message that the item is no longer available.


Take a look at these steps under "If some of your songs are missing or the song names appear in gray text" for some reasons why you might be running into this issue: Get help with iCloud Music Library - Apple Support
