Play music simultaneously on iPhone and AppleTV

From what I can tell it is not possible, even with AirPlay2, to play the same piece of music, or audio stream from the Music app, on the iPhone and the AppleTV at the same time. I've got an iPhone 8 and 4Th Gen AppleTV both are AirPlay 2 compatible. I've followed the setup in the Apple provided documents about setting up AirPlay with an AppleTV. All devices are on the current iOS version.

I can play music just fine from the iPhone to the AppleTV and I can even play one bit of music from the phone on the AppleTV and another on the phone but not play the same music on both at the same time.

Please someone prove me wrong.
