weight of apple wireless keyboard + mouse

I can't find proper specs for these anywhere... can anyone tell me the weight of the following:

Apple Wireless Keyboard Part number: MC184LL/A
Apple Magic Mouse Part number: MB829ZM/A

Thanks in advance for any help!

MacBook Pro (Late 08), Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Thanks tjk,

The problem with the commercial sites is that they typically show the gross weight of the package for postage, not the nett weight of the item itself. Also, they can be a little unreliable. One of them listed the Mighty Mouse at 6 pounds, LOL!! The 1.5 pounds for the keyboard cited by Vanns sounds about right, but other commercial sites offer slightly different numbers...

I am after the exact nett weight without packaging. This is why I have been looking for an official specifications sheet.

I am totally perplexed by the absence on the Apple website of an appropriate specifications sheet for these products.

I appreciate your advice — thanks for getting back to me.

I just checked mine, and weight isn't even listed on box or in documentation. I'm guessing not too many people need that info. If you need to be that exact, you'll probably need someone with an accurate small scale, such as food or postal. And then you might also want to specify with/without batts. If you don't mind my asking, why do you need exact weights?

With or without batteries?

I don't have a "magic mouse" or the current version of the keyboard, but I can tell you that my own older wireless "mighty mouse" (A1197) weighs 85 gms (about 3 ozs) without batteries and my older "alu" bluetooth wireless keyboard (A1255) weighs 280 gms ( about 10 ozs) - again without batteries. A single AA Alkaline battery is about 22.5 gms (3/4oz) and a single AA rechargeable NMH battery is about 28 gms (1 oz).

I'm sure someone with a set of digital kitchen scales and the current gear should be able to provide an answer in a couple of moments!

Cheers

Rod

Thanks guys!

tjk — the reason I am asking is that I am preparing to start some serious comumuting by bicycle and/or walking, and am keen to have a rough idea of how much weight these items will add to my pack load. I know these things may seem small on their own, but day-after-day every gram can make a difference. So I am just working out what will be the lightest set of stuff to use to get my work done where and when I need to.

Rod — thanks for the detailed info. I will certainly be getting around with batteries included in the keyboard and mouse. Assuming the newer and smaller items might weigh a little less than the older models you cite, and that they will be carrying 4 (?) batteries all up, the total weight might be around half a kilo. Thanks for the numbers.

Sorry if this all seems weird and banal. It probably is! I just couldn't find any spec sheet for the products and thought I'd come to the brains trust — thanks!
