time machine

Time Machine fails to complete - comes back with an error. Run Disc Utility and its reports all is fine. What to do? I'm on a 27in Retina iMc running latest OS.

Use Disk Utility to erase the backup drive using GUID and HFS+ or APFS, depending upon whether it's an HDD or an SSD, respectively. Start the backup again.

In the future, always include what the error message is. We cannot guess it. Please read Writing an effective Apple Support Communities question. We are here to help. We are all users.
