Apple Inc Call RE: Financial Activity on my Devices

I too have been receiving multiple calls per day with the same message for the past couple of weeks. The message is left on my home landline, not on my iPhone or another Apple product. They tell you to call for Apple Support: 888***-8071. I Googled the number and saw a number of complaints which convinced me that this is a scam. The call originated from 800-***-7753. If there was a real problem, I think we'd see it all over Apple's website.

It's a pretty common scam. If the calls all come from the same number block it. Note that some of these evildoers actually fake Apple's support number in the Caller ID.

This is obviously bogus, no way Apple would be reaching out to anyone for such (fake) warnings.

That was my assumption, but I hadn't seen anyone else mentioning the same issue. I operate under "better safe than sorry" and assume everything is a scam.
