I have a Xerox 6027 workcenter printer which used to print from my iPhone x no problem. Now it's off the list and isn't found by Apple? Discrimination??

Need to print from my iPhone x to my Xerox workcenter 6027 which is now off the list. Worked fine before.

Contact the manufacturer and ask if they have a firmware update to re-enable AirPrint. The iPhone will work with any Airprint-enabled printer that supports the current Airprint version.

Discrimination? Discrimination against what? You mean the Xerox is the wrong color? Or the wrong ethnicity? Or the wrong gender identity? Give me a break!

First off, the discrimination thing was meant to be a joke—but I totally get your response. Might have done the same myself.

I don’t understand why Apple has to drop device support capability with o/s “upgrades”. It’s happened to me before with a different device.

I’ll contact Xerox. I hope they have a solution!?

Thanks for your help.

I figured it was a joke, I was just going along with it. Apple doesn't drop support, but they are constantly fixing potential vulnerabilities in iOS (security is not a wall, it is an arms race). I don't know if there was one in Airprint, but most likely that was why Apple updated the iOS end of Airprint, and it's up to the printer manufacturers to keep up with security fixes. Alternatively, Apple may have found a vulnerability in the printer's implementation of Airprint. Of course, maybe it just requires some troubleshooting. Have you tried rebooting the printer? Checking for firmware updates?

Another completely different approach is to get an app like Printopia that works on your computer as a front end to printers that don't support Airprint. I use it with my 20 year old HP6 laser printer (those old printers never die).
