Stabilize Shaky Video: Does this action need to be uninterrupted?

So I noticed the very useful stabilization tool takes a long time. Anyone have any insights in terms of:

• does this action need to stay uninterrupted to complete?

• shortcuts to applying this to a lot of clips (or any other advice)?

Thanks!

Hi,

Since stabilization is pretty computer intensive, I would recommend waiting

for the stabilization to complete before editing other clips. However, you

could try editing other clips in a test movie and see what happens. It might

only slow the process down. If you close the project or close iMovie during the

stabilization procedure the stabilization will not be completed and not be

saved. When you reopen the project I believe that the stabilization procedure

will start up from scratch again.
