Time Machine - selective folder and file restoring

Instructions are clear about restoring files using Time Machine. But if I select a folder through Time Machine, will Time Machine restore this, all the subfolders and files, and these only? For example. I have a Video folder that contains both project folders and files. If I select it and restore it, will it along with files that that folder, subfolders and all other files in those folder be restored? And only these?

If you restore a folder using Time Machine, all subfolders and files inside of that folder are restored as well
