apple watch 4 not sticking to magnetic charger

HI

I have a new apple watch 4. I had a series 3 previously.

Previously the magnetic charger plate used to charge the watch will stick to the back of the watch magnetically.

With the series 4, the magnetic attachment is really weak. I am sometimes not sure if teh watch is attached properly as I do not have a good feel that I used to have in the previous watch when the charger plate will stick onto the back of the watch, telling me its attached and charging.

Is this normal?
