Can I exchange the hdmi adapter under warranty

The apple hdmi adapters easily shorts out. After I purchased one and it shorted out; I purchased another that did the same exact thing. I wanted to know is this a common malfunction in the apple hdmi adaptors and can they be exchanged at an apple store? Thank you,

Loose HDMI port on MacBook Pro 14” The HDMI port on my MacBook Pro has been loose since receiving it, I’m wondering if anyone else has the same issue. It’s to the point where if I’m just shifting the laptop closer to me on my work table, the connection will be disconnected. I took it in to the store during the 2 weeks return period, but the apple technician informed me that it was normal among all of the MacBooks. I’m skeptical of this as the HDMI connections for all my other devices have not been as loose as this.

If they are found to be defective due to a manufacturer defect, then yes, they are covered by warranty.
