why does my ipad have a circle on screen that looks like an air bubble when it doesn’t have a screen protectoron

I installed a new glass protector on my ipad pro. There was a perfectly round circle at the top middle that looked like an air bubble. I took the protector off and it was still there. I called Apple Support and received a “you must have damaged it” reply. It has not had any damage. It is still under warranty but Apple Store is a long drive. Anyone know what it is? It might have been there for awhile and I didn’t notice.

It looks like a heavy pressure has been pressed down on the screen. No idea how it’s happened. To replace the screen will be expensive. Do you have Apple care? Sorry I know it’s not the answer you want but it is not software related so can’t be resolved that way.

Seen it before. Afraid you are going have to take it in to the Apple Store for them to look at. Make an appointment before you go. You could try and call Apple support.
